President & Chief Executive Officer
Scott Brown, President and CEO, leads FinancialForce’s mission to help organizations connect the front and back office with the leading customer-centric business suite on the Salesforce platform. Before joining the company, Scott was Chief Revenue Officer for publicly-traded data analytics leader Teradata, where he led 5,000 professionals across sales, customer success, engineering, and global consulting teams—as well as a global partner ecosystem—to deliver an exceptional customer experience.
Scott has built life-long relationships with customers as he has helped them gain value and succeed in their businesses. Prior to Teradata, Scott held global sales and customer success roles at Cisco for 22 years, most recently leading teams of 3,400 professionals to deliver over $10 billion in annual bookings. Prior to Cisco, Scott spent 10 years working with ERP customers at System Software Associates and Effective Management Systems.
Scott earned an MBA in Marketing from Loyola University of Chicago and a BA in Marketing from the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire. He has taught MBA-level courses at University of Wisconsin-Madison, Northwestern University, and Duke University.
Chief Customer Officer
As Chief Customer Officer, Scott Bajtos is responsible for maximizing the value customers receive from FinancialForce’s leading Professional Services Automation and ERP solutions. Under Bajtos’s leadership, the Customer Success and Professional Services teams provide consulting, education, technical support, customer success, and customer advocacy, while also driving maintenance renewal revenue. Additionally, his team influences product quality and partner experience to ensure a best-in-class experience for customers and partners across FinancialForce solutions.
With more than 30 years in the software and SaaS industry, Bajtos brings world-class expertise in customer success through consulting services, education, training, certifications, customer loyalty, and support programs that nurture customers for life.
Prior to FinancialForce, Bajtos held leadership roles at VMware for more than 11 years, most recently as Chief Customer Officer overseeing the company’s global services team. During his eight years at SAP, he was Executive Vice President and General Manager, EMEA, and previously EVP and Chief Customer Satisfaction Officer, leading a team of 1,350 sales and delivery professionals at 10 sites around the world. Prior to SAP, Bajtos established global customer advocacy programs aimed at strengthening customer loyalty while maximizing revenue and satisfaction at a variety of companies, including Business Objects as Executive Vice President and Chief Customer Satisfaction Officer, and Cadence Design Systems as Vice President, Office of Customer Advocacy.
Bajtos holds a Bachelor of Arts degree with honors from Saint Mary’s College of California.
Chief Financial Officer
Gordy Brooks is the Chief Financial Officer at FinancialForce overseeing global finances and operations. Gordy joins FinancialForce with more than two decades of senior financial leadership experience at notable companies, serving as CFO of Blue Coat Systems and holding other senior finance positions at VMware and BEA Systems. Most recently as CFO of Citrix GetGo, he was responsible for orchestrating the spin-out of the GoTo SaaS product division and successful merger with LogMeIn (LOGM).
As CFO of Aerohive Networks, he led the finance, accounting and enterprise IT functions, bringing the company to a successful IPO. Gordy has held finance positions at other leading technology companies including Microsoft and WebTV Networks as well, and also launched four new companies during his extensive career.
A Silicon Valley native, Gordy started his career in the Palo Alto office of Ernst and Young after earning his Masters in Accounting from the University of Southern California Marshall School of Business.
Chief Product & Strategy Officer
Daniel Brown is Chief Product and Strategy Officer at FinancialForce and is responsible for guiding the company’s product strategy to deliver on its ambitious growth plans and expanding the size and scope of the product development organization.
Dan joins FinancialForce with over 25 years of business software and SaaS solutions experience, including 15 years at Microsoft Corporation. Dan’s most recent Microsoft role was General Manager of Corporate Strategy, where he led the company’s internal digital transformation strategy.
Previously, Dan ran Microsoft's Dynamic AX and Dynamics NAV product teams, where he was responsible for their international business growth, product development, and shift to a cloud delivery model. Prior to Microsoft, he led the product group for Rivio, a Silicon Valley startup that built workflow-based SaaS applications, including financials management for small-to-medium sized businesses.
Dan holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Physics, a Bachelor of Arts degree in Philosophy, and a Master’s degree in Computer Science, all from Stanford University, California.
Chief Legal Officer
As Chief Legal Officer, Melissa Fruge manages all global legal matters for FinancialForce. Fuge brings a proven track record of achieving strategic business goals while reducing risks, developing key policies and processes, and driving worldwide regulatory and legal compliance. She has also specialized in complex transactions, including IPOs, mergers, acquisitions and divestitures.
Prior to joining FinancialForce, Melissa was Vice President of Legal for OYO Hotels Inc., the fastest growing hotel company in the world with over 22,000 employees. As General Counsel for Brandless, Inc, Melissa oversaw strategy and led all legal matters including compliance for the venture-backed e-commerce company. Previously, she was Chief Legal Officer and General Counsel at Spredfast, Inc., overseeing the legal team and compliance, and working with SaaS subscriptions, partner agreements, cybersecurity and data protection, and intellectual property. As SVP and General Counsel at Homeaway, Melissa led all legal, regulatory and governance aspects of the company’s $250M IPO, negotiated 24 acquisitions worldwide and led the $3.9B sale of HomeAway to Expedia. She also served as VP, General Counsel and Secretary for Borland Software Corporation.
Melissa serves on numerous boards and is a regular speaker on corporate legal topics. She received a Bachelor of Arts degree in political science from the University of Southern California, and a Juris Doctorate, Certificate in International Law, from Santa Clara University School of Law. Melissa was admitted to the California and Texas bar associations.
Chief Revenue Officer
Tony Kender is Chief Revenue Officer at FinancialForce, responsible for developing and managing strategies to accelerate and scale global revenue. With more than three decades of experience in applications software business, Tony is a recognized leader in creating and leading high performance go-to-market organizations, having been responsible for sales, global marketing and channels teams across all industries and selling motions. Before joining FinancialForce, Tony was with Oracle’s Human Capital Management (HCM) organization, holding roles as SVP & General Manager, North America HCM Sales, Global HCM Sales Strategy and SVP for HCM Global Strategic Customers. In these roles, Tony led the HCM Enterprise go-to-market sales strategy and execution, transforming the organization from on-premises offerings to the cloud SaaS offerings.
Vice President of Strategic Planning
Michelle Mathis is the Vice President of Strategic Planning at FinancialForce and is responsible for driving the company’s planning cycles and business reviews, cross-business initiatives, and licensing and pricing strategy. Michelle joined FinancialForce with over 18 years of leadership experience, including seven years at Microsoft Corporation in the Dynamics Business Application division. Prior to Microsoft, Michelle spent over 16 years in the telecommunications industry. She held various roles, including several strategic pricing positions, at Ericsson, BellSouth (now AT&T), and Nortel Networks. Michelle holds a Bachelor of Science in Management from the Georgia Institute of Technology.
Senior Vice President of Marketing
Nicole Milstead is Senior Vice President of Marketing at FinancialForce, leading all aspects of FinancialForce’s global marketing efforts including strategy, revenue marketing, marketing communications, brand growth, and customer voice. Additionally, she oversees the company’s Salesforce alliances organization with a focus on collaborative marketing with Salesforce.
Nicole has more than 20 years of experience leading marketing, business development, and partner & alliance teams for some of the world’s most successful enterprise technology companies. During her tenure at Oracle, she ran go-to-market, field engagement, and business development programs that drove demand through sales-specific requirements and alignment. Previously, she led analyst relations for SAP and began her career in a sales role at Gartner. Nicole holds a Master’s degree from the University of Pennsylvania and a Bachelor’s degree from Lafayette College in Pennsylvania.
Chief People Officer
Jonathan Schoonmaker is the Chief People Officer at FinancialForce. A thirty-year veteran of human resources for some of Silicon Valley’s biggest enterprise brands, Schoonmaker has held senior executive positions with companies such as Sophos, Hewlett Packard (HP), VMware, Borland Group and Business Objects (SAP).
Jonathan has a proven track record in developing high-quality employee programs and internal HR processes that meet the needs of high-growth, diverse organizations. As Senior Vice President of Human Resources for Hewlett Packard’s Enterprise and Imaging Print and Solutions group, Jonathan supported more than 60,000 employees worldwide, reimaging company-wide best practices and talent management.
Prior to joining Hewlett-Packard in 2014, Schoonmaker was Vice President for Human Resources at VMware where he established a high-performance talent management program to support the company’s rapid growth and led several acquisition integration projects.
Jonathan holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Organizational Communications from Ohio University.
Founder & Senior Vice President, Strategic Customer Experience
Debbie Ashton is the Senior Vice President of Strategic Customer Experience and a Founder of FinancialForce. Debbie has been instrumental in the growth and ongoing success of the FinancialForce business. In her current role, Debbie’s mission is to work with our customers to understand their journey, ensure they maximize the value they derive from our solutions and enhance the overall customer experience.
As an ERP expert with over 25 years experience she has worked on the some of the industries leading ERP platforms. From the inception of FinancialForce Debbie has been in senior leadership positions including product strategy and development, global support and customer success.
Prior to FinancialForce Debbie ran the international product teams at Coda following the acquisition by SciSys and latterly UNIT4, during this time Debbie held leadership positions in product management & engineering, as well as presales and account management. Debbie has a degree in Applied Biology from Sheffield Hallam University.
