The most impressive Dreamforce ever has come to a close. In sum, more than 170,000 people—industry leaders, customers, Salesforce experts, and more—convened in San Francisco this week for the world’s biggest software conference.

As a major Salesforce partner and key ERP solution native to the Salesforce Platform, FinancialForce hosted one-on-one meetings, sessions, and parties with thousands of customers and partners across Dreamforce. Many of the most exciting events took place at our headquarters for the week—Fogo de Chão, a Brazilian steakhouse right in the heart of the conference. But it was about more than just good times with fine food and libations. As one CFO put it: “Last year I came for the meat. This year I came to meet your team and hear about the value of FinancialForce.”

That’s testament to the one-of-a-kind experience that is Dreamforce—and to the people like you that make it possible.

The conference is large and can be overwhelming, but [FinancialForce CMO Fred] Studer said its continued popularity — Dreamforce, begun in 2003, has sold out each of the last three years — attests to both its appeal and business value.

“Is this too much? No, this is really a great experience,” Studer said. “Companies, they have a choice to do a lot of different things. They can vote with their feet. To come to San Francisco for a week — these people are busy — they’re not coming to a boondoggle.” Read more.

Insights from the ground

Throughout the week, FinancialForce hosted a dozen sessions focused on the power of the Salesforce Platform and the exponential value you get by joining your CRM with ERP and PSA.

In a session on the Thrival Guide to Business Unlimited, Fionn O’Keeffe (CFO, PeopleStreme) said that by using ERP plus CRM, it’s not just the CFO and accounting team that know about product or service profitability, but everyone across the organization. That self-service functionality innate to the Salesforce Platform means that everyone is empowered to make decisions.

Our services-focused sessions were very popular, with attendees soaking up strategies to manage their business norm and be true partners in business growth. Each one got to take home beautifully printed versions of our new ebook Powerful Forecasting at Your Fingertips. This new piece outlines how the most forward-thinking business leaders are evolving their services forecasting to accurately forecast every dollar in the pipeline.  

Finally, it wouldn’t be a proper Salesforce event without Einstein. Many people stopped by the Einstein Analytics Happy Hour, sponsored by FinancialForce, to enjoy refreshments while seeing the limitless capabilities you get with powerful ERP and PSA analytics.
