We just got back from Technology Services World 2015 and let’s just say that it was a whirlwind 4 days at the ARIA Convention Center in Las Vegas. The theme of “Growing Customers Successfully,” was prevalent throughout the entire conference, and as platinum sponsors we felt right at home as one of our main mantras is “helping our customers become wildly successful.”
From the inspiring keynotes and sessions, to the great conversations we had with attendees and partners at the booth – TSW Service Transformations was truly a transformative event to be a part of. Here are some of our highlights from the conference:
Monday was a big day for us as we announced FinancialForce Peoplecasting® – the link between HCM and PSA that brings together services demand forecasting, capacity planning, recruiting and onboarding.
The first keynote of the conference was from TSIA’s President and CEO JB Wood focused on the big theme this year – the goal of growing customers becoming the new mission for services organizations and the strategic role you can play in helping your company. After the keynotes and sessions (and of course in the spirit of Vegas) the expo hall opened later in the evening. The FinancialForce PSA team was all set to chat with attedees as they reflected on the day’s content.
The next day’s keynotes began with Kevin Roche, President of EMC Global Services. His 3 pronged strategy – enabling technology, harnessing cultural psychology and creating engineered processes and governance – was meant to help you effectively harness the power of big data.
Later, FinancialForce.com’s GM of Professional Services Applications Lori Ellsworth introduced Chad Wolf, Sr. Vice President, Global Services of Verint as he shared his experiences on transitioning to FinancialForce PSA. He reiterated that your people are your most important resource and PSA can help you put them in the right place at the right time to make your customers happy.
After lunch, Principal Software Engineer Doug Tilley demonstrated the beauty of Professional Services Automation built on the Salesforce platform. He drove home the point that because Salesforce is great at servicing data in so many different ways, that’s what we do for professional services organizations with PSA, showing this in action with plenty of jokes to boot.
The final day of TSW began with a keynote from TSIA’s Executive Director Thomas Lah and featured the concept of “outcome engineering,” the framework for systematically engineering good customer outcomes.
As the show was coming to an end, we continued to have great conversations with attendees as passionate about services as we are. Resource management came up often during our demos and we were happy to show off how Peoplecasting® would help these folks’ businesses get the visibility they need to be the most efficient they can be and help their customers grow.
Stay tuned for more TSW 2015 insights from our GM of PSA Lori Ellsworth, coming soon on the blog. Finally, we can’t wait to see you all next year at TSW 2016 in San Diego where we’ll be platinum sponsors once again!
