The first day of FinancialForce Community Live 2016 is officially over and what a day it was! From executive keynotes to customer stories, from partner presentations to hands-on sessions, infused water to giant chess – it was a fantastic first day with our customers and sponsors at our first standalone customer conference.
We started the day with keynotes from Adrian Ivanov, our Chief Customer Officer, Jeremy Roche, President & CEO, and Joe Fuca, President of Worldwide Field Operations at FinancialForce. We also had the pleasure of having Patrick Blair, Executive Vice President, Commercial Business Unit at Salesforce on the stage to talk about their use of FinancialForce PSA and how it has given their professional services organization a 360 degree view of the customer after replacing NetSuite OpenAir.
Not only that, but we did the unthinkable – showing a demo in a keynote – and it was awesome! Steve Goldt wowed the crowd with a sneak peak of Unified Revenue Management – because now, it’s all about Opportunity to Renewal!
Following a short break, we got to hear from our application General Managers.
Raphael Bres, General Manager of Financial Management Applications, shared the exciting Financial Management roadmap and a sneak peak into the development of the new, packaged Salesforce Wave apps. Marshall King, VP of Tools and Enablement at BRG, joined him on stage to share some insights pre and post FinancialForce implementation.
Next, Laura Castillo, GM of Human Capital Management Applications, took us on a journey through 2016-2017 HCM R&D plans, and welcomed customer Sandra Jacobs – CEO at Jacobus Consulting – on stage to share her FinancialForce story. Sandra eloquently pointed out that when looking for the right solution your organization needs to “look for that thing that puts your people at the center.” We couldn’t agree more.
Lori Ellsworth, GM of Professional Services Automation Applications, explained that professional services are becoming a differentiator for many businesses to “land that customer.” Joining her on stage was our PSA customer US Data Management, who explained how implementing the new PSA Communities is boosting their customer engagement.
Post-lunch, the sessions were full and the engagement was high. From our implementation consultants, to our customer speakers – there was much to learn in the information-packed agenda. If you missed a session, many of their slides will be available in Xtra following the conference, so stay tuned!
Last but not least – the party. Perched atop The Delano, attendees got to enjoy a beautiful Las Vegas view from the aptly named Skyfall Lounge. Apps were eaten, drinks were served and the conversation was booming. Thank you everyone who came out and had fun with us!
Remember, what happens in Vegas, goes on Chatter. Watch the day 1 slideshow here.
