Einstein AI draws crowds at Salesforce World Tour Sydney

Salesforce knows how to throw an event, and Salesforce World Tour Sydney this week proved no exception! As speaker, sponsor, and booth staffer, I got to participate in all aspects of the event and these were some of my biggest impressions. 

My biggest surprise was the tremendous turnout and scale. I heard attendance reached as high as 11,000—impressive for a one-day, regionally-focused event. The event met demand with two floors of demos, numerous presentation and partner theatres, and no shortage of engaging sessions. It’s clear that Australia’s enthusiasm for Salesforce and the Salesforce platform is very strong! 

With that, here are a few more of my biggest impressions from the event.

Busy application ecosystem

From the moment the morning keynote concluded, booths buzzed with activity as attendees sought new ways to extend the power of the platform. At the FinancialForce booth alone, three scanners and two demo stations weren’t enough for the number of people interested in how our Financial Management and Professional Services Automation solutions help businesses unify the front and back office and better serve customers.

Einstein going “mainstream” 

Einstein Analytics and its impressive ease of use and speed garnered loads of attention. The Einstein sessions were not just standing room-only, but people actually formed rows three and four deep! In total, my session drew over 150 people. I was proud to present FinancialForce’s internal use of Einstein Discovery technology, artificial intelligence (AI) already being used to keep FinancialForce operations consistent, efficient, and predictive around customer needs.

The party didn’t stop 

It kicked off with the Partner reception and led to many “after-event” parties where discussions on ways to maximize the platform continued (and got even more interesting). The FinancialForce “beer coozies” (known in Australia as “stubby holders”) were the big hit at the partner reception: many a beer was kept cold thanks to FinancialForce. They also showcased the new FinancialForce brand
