The Check List: 1.) Register for sessions ASAP: It’s really why you’re going to #DF14, right? Go home packed with fresh insight, the hottest app info, new biz connections – all geared to help your business and your career shine. But the best sessions are filling up fast. So move fast. Register here. 2.) Keynote block out: Know when and where they are. The star power is on. Hillary Clinton, Al Gore, Tony Robbins, Neil Young all on the same playlist? Don’t be the melon in the corner having to stand for two+ hours because the keynote went standing room only before it even started. Study this agenda and be in the right spot at the right time. Or go to ERPCentral, where these guys will be showing keynotes as they happen. 3.) Get on the party lists NOW: There is so much amazing food, drinks, fun and entertainment to be had. But the best party lists will *cap*. Don’t be the guy drinking alone at the hotel bar! Here’s a start: RUSH, REHAB, and of course Bruno Mars! You’ll be thanking me later (when you’re inside the party and the non-planners aren’t). 4.) Scope out the Expo: With Dreamforce comes some of the hottest, most social, most mobile apps that can transform your business. Get demos, watch some videos, talk to the right people and find the apps that get you closer to your customers. When you find the best apps. You look like a star. When you look like a star. You get a promotion. Win-win. 5.) Escape from the fray: There may be a lot of bean bags around Moscone where you can cop a squat but peaceful stations they are not. Clear your head for a few at some of our favorite chill spots, which you can see in our local Dreamforce 2014 map. And here’s a complete list of Rooftop Chill Places to relax. Remember, if you just want to escape the crowd – walk East. 6.) Find the kick-a$$ Dreamforce t-shirts: Don’t leave Dreamforce without an irreverent T-shirt. Here’s one place we can guarantee you’ll get one. History lesson: “We eat their apps for breakfast.” “99 Problems and an app ain’t one.” “Are you staring at my back office?” 7.) Scout the nearby cocktails (non-convention related!): The W Hotel lounge is a happening spot with fun drinks and a good wine list. The Thirsty Bear is a fun brewery with some seriously good Spanish tapas. Check out Smuggler’s Cove – if you don’t want to miss one of the most celebrated tiki bars in the world. And if you want to catch the MLB playoffs (Go Giants!), then Jillian’s is a solid sports bar with large-screen TVs and billiard tables. 8.) Work the kinks Out: Conventions can be rough on the body! Take a long walk up the Embarcadero starting at the Ferry building. It’s awesome. Or even book a massage at a place like the Burke Williams Spa which is right by Moscone. 9.) Stake out how to win stuff!: Yes, walk that exhibit show floor and come home with some hot goods, e.g. the JBL Pulse! GoPros, Jambox, iPhones, Beats by Dre. There will be contests galore and killer apps. Do not miss out! 10.) Know how to get your *real* coffee fix: If you find the Moscone mud not working for you, help is available. There’s the Blue Bottle Coffee (a cult favorite among locals who appreciate individually brewed cups of java) and Peet’s on the corner of 4th and Harrison is the best place to grab a quality cup to go. And Philz on Berry Street is an amazing cup of Joe too. 11.) Wear comfortable shoes: If you do wear comfortable shoes you won’t remember reading this. If you don’t wear comfortable shoes, then you most assuredly will. 12.) Don’t drink too much on the first night: Enough said. Whether you’re hungry, thirsty, tired or looking for the best parties of the week, check out the map below for our local guide to Dreamforce 2014. See you A-Gamers at the show!!
