Customer led events are the best events

Last week we held our first FinancialForce.com CFO Roundtable event in London, inviting CFOs from UK based customers to come and hear our latest product and development news, speak with members of our Executive team and to listen to other customers share their experiences with our applications. The whole day was a real eye opener. We asked customers to come prepared with unique uses of the system they wanted to highlight, challenges faced and overcome, best practices and questions for the FinancialForce.com Team. Despite customers coming from a spectrum of different industries including two charities, education, utilities, telecoms and events management, it was amazing to see how much they had in common and were able to learn from each other. In fact, the only time the conversation stopped was when the scones, jam and cream made an appearance, which one customer commented, made the day worthwhile alone. During the meeting over 15 ideas were discussed and logged in the Community for consideration by our Development Team, which just shows the power of combined thinking generated when getting like-minded customers together in this kind of setting. The positive feedback gleaned from the day has now helped us to write the agenda for our upcoming FinancialForce.Community day (being held in London on May 21st), where we hope to create a similar atmosphere and generate as much interaction as possible between FinancialForce users, while allowing attendees to register for training and panel sessions of most interest to them and their job role. A day for our customers designed by our customers. There’s something quite satisfying about that.
