Months of planning and Community Live London is over in the blink of an eye. The theme for the event this year was Brilliant Connections and after speaking with many of the attendees, I am confident that the learnings and connections made at the event will have a long lasting impact.
New services economy and customer success
The event, sponsored by Cloud Team and Expensify, was held at the amazing Crystal and kicked off with keynotes from FinancialForce CEO Tod Nielsen, and Salesforce Evangelist Tiffani Bova. Both talked about the new services economy and how businesses adapt and succeed in the customer experience evolution.
We also heard from customers NewVoiceMedia, Methods, and Hewlett-Packard Enterprise on their experiences implementing and using FinancialForce products, and how they themselves are adapting to market changes.
The opening keynote also played host to honoring FinancialForce customers who have excelled with our applications or who have been a tremendous support to FinancialForce (or both). This year’s special ‘Brilliant Connections’ awards were nominated by FinancialForce employees and showcased exceptional vision and commitment to using FinancialForce applications.
Let the training begin
After lunch and topic table networking fun, the training sessions began. Covering all of our products, customers were asked to bring a laptop and were sent a workbook to follow through in the session. Sessions included PSA beginners training, Reporting Ninja’s training, Best practices for a pressure free period close, and much more, where customers could really get hands on to better understand the functionality that FinancialForce offers. In one of the sessions, I heard a customer say she had learned new functionality to take back to the business which would save her a lot of time. Exactly what we wanted these sessions to achieve.
Day 1 ended with drinks and a bbq, with some fantastic entertainment from London band, The Silk Strings. Unfortunately, we could not deliver on the weather, but we didn’t let it dampen our spirits.
Customers returned on day 2 for more breakout sessions, including a look at our product roadmaps and sessions around best practices, many of which featured FinancialForce customers who talked about their own experiences.
Our aim at all of these events, is to bring customers together to network and share best practices. This year we helped the conversations along with our connections wall. Customers were asked to add a topic that they wanted to connect with another customer on to the wall for other customers to find. As a result, there are some great conversations going on in the FinancialForce Community, which is fantastic to see.
That’s enough from me. Here is what customers who attended the event thought…
“I am very glad I attended the FinancialForce Comm Live event in London. It was very valuable. Complements to the organization!”
“I came away from these talks feeling that I understood where FinancialForce is heading.”
“The music/entertainment was spot on, catering was excellent and keynotes were really engaging and relevant.”
“This is my third Community live event. There is a palpable change in the feeling of the event. This event ‘feels’ more mature.”
“Loved the keynote session – very engaging!!”
And so onto Vegas, where we’ll be joined by Tony & Grammy award-winning star Leslie Odom, Jr. to perform songs from the hit musical Hamilton.
You don’t want to miss that. Luckily, there’s still time to register.
