You’re heading to arguably the greatest cloud conference of all time in a few weeks and don’t know where to start? Great! We’ve made a list of eight, easy-to-remember things you must do this year at Dreamforce.
- Attend the Keynote
Obvious, right? If you attend Dreamforce, you must have some interest in the headlining speakers. This year has quite the line-up. Marc Cuban, Tony Robbins (one of my favorite speakers of all time) and let’s not forget Salesforce CEO Marc Benioff. Dreamforce is a who’s who
of industry heroes. Find your favorites and strap-in for the guaranteed mind grenades.
One of the best aspects of Dreamforce is the multiple opportunities to learn
. It’s not just the sit and listen sessions; there are hands-on sessions
that deep dive into the ever-changing cloud technologies. In one, two or three days, you could walk away with a handful of certifications, bumping up your credibility as a Salesforce expert.
This is the Willy Wonka factory of cool new technology. Don’t miss your opportunity to try out some of the best up-and-coming solutions, many of which could skyrocket your office productivity. Keep an eye out for top needs at your company. Compare competing vendors and take back brochures for your execs to review. You could become a company hero, adding solutions and automation to your teams that save money and generate high returns.
- Find a Party
Dreamforce has been called a rock concert for nerds, Comic-Con in suits and Burning Man with Wi-Fi. Fun is baked into the agenda and should make room for it somewhere on your to-do list. It’s not just Salesforce fueling the fun. Companies all around the Bay Area plan to have their own Dreamforce ragers for customers, prospects and industry experts. Find a company you love, make some valuable contacts, and kickback with some amazing people.
- Live the Dream
Salesforce definitely plans to bring its own brand of fun to Dreamforce. And you better believe it will be memorable. U2
is making an appearance this year followed by THE
after party with will.i.am & MC Hammer. This is a spare-no-expense festival/conference and you won’t want to miss it.
You may plan to come to Dreamforce alone or as part of a company. Either way, come armed with your best ideas and pitches. Dreamforce is the absolute best place to network, with industry leaders and executives primed to buy and sell technologies that move business forward. Head hunters roam the grounds looking for undiscovered talent. And investors look for the next big thing to throw their money at. This year, Salesforce is introducing Dreampitch
– a chance for you to pitch your idea on stage to legendary investors including Mark Cuban and Chris Sacca.
Dreamforce gives you a lot. It provides great parties, amazing keynotes and awesome networking/learning opportunities. But you can give, too. All week, Dreamforce will offer #DFGives charitable giving activities. Each day you will have a chance to do things like support kids coding and maker workshops. FinancialForce
will be donating $1 to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital for every tweet that mentions @FinancialForce and has #SeeItDF16 during that week.
- Step outside of your comfort zone
Dreamforce isn’t a conference for those who want to play it safe. It’s a collection of innovators and – dare I say – dreamers who want to change the world. More than 150,000 people will attend Dreamforce this year. That’s 150,000+ potential connections, opportunities or memories for you. Step outside of your day-to-day and make the most of your Dreamforce experience this year. Need advice on how? Visit NewVoiceMedia at booth 1818
