These tools provide the ability to build a full gamut of reports including custom inquiries, user specific dashboards and ad-hoc actual vs budget reports. Information can be delivered online via a browser or pushed to your handset of choice from a single cloud-based financial engine. And recognizing the familiarity users have with Microsoft Excel™, FinancialForce.com has built a bridge app called FinancialForce XL that allows users to securely read and write-back financial information from Excel to the FinancialForce cloud for things like budget updates and special journal entries.

Standard financial reports

FinancialForce Accounting gives users the ability to generate any type of financial report - from highly summarized balance sheets, income statements or cashflow forecasts, through to very detailed transaction reports, including tax returns and audit trails.

The application includes an impressive set of standard financial reports that should meet most of your day-to-day requirements - from listing transactions and journals to trial balances, aged debtor and profit and loss reports. However, if you need something specific, you can easily create a custom report. This is done using salesforce.com's report-building wizard that simply takes you through the process step by step.

Financial dashboards

Because FinancialForce Accounting works as an integral part of your Salesforce CRM application, you benefit from a range of intuitive report-building and analysis tools that draw upon data in either or both applications. These include easy-to-create dashboards that show the key performance indicators needed to keep your most relevant business measures at your fingertips. With FinancialForce Accounting you can set up real-time, summarized information with complete drill-down capability. That way you have a complete view of what's happening in your business - from top to bottom.

MS Excel integration

FinancialForce XL is a dedicated application that we have built to supplement our built-in reporting tools. It is an add-on to supported versions of Microsoft Excel that allows users to extract and work with FinancialForce documents, such as journals and invoices, within Excel and then post the data back into FinancialForce Accounting. FinancialForce XL is available to customers with a full FinancialForce Accounting license, as a free download.
